Buenos Aires, Nov 27 (NA) – The defense of former Judge Julieta Makintach will file an extraordinary appeal with the Nation's Supreme Court of Justice to challenge her dismissal. Darío Saldaño, one of the former magistrate's lawyers, spoke with the Argentine News Agency and stated that he plans to file the document with the supreme court this Thursday: "I am finishing polishing it." In this regard, the lawyer stated that he speaks with Makintach "every day", who is now "calmer". The former head of the Oral Criminal Court (TOC) No. 2 of San Isidro was dismissed and disqualified from holding positions in the Judicial Power after the unanimous ruling of the Disciplinary Jury in the annex building of the Buenos Aires Senate Chamber, in La Plata. In the criminal case, she was imposed "the prohibition of maintaining any type of contact with the witnesses of the present process, by any means, including all direct, indirect or through third-party contact, as well as telephone communications, electronic messages, messaging applications, social networks, publications, comments or references that may reach them directly or indirectly".
